Getting a Piercing
At Atelier Pax, we are happy to help you choose the best placement for your piercing. Getting a piercing is not something you should do on impulse. That’s why we strongly recommend being well informed and properly advised beforehand, so you can make the right decision before your chosen piercing is placed.
Quality is very important to us. Our piercer is highly skilled and experienced. We take the time to think along with you and determine, based on general guidelines, the most anatomically and aesthetically suitable placement for your new piercing.
Always inform us in advance about your health condition and whether you are taking any medication, as this may affect your piercing and/or the healing process.
The piercing procedure is carried out hygienically and without unnecessary spectators, following official health guidelines. You are welcome to bring a friend for support or share the experience together.
Healing time varies from person to person. Your general health and physical condition play an important role. Personal hygiene is essential during the healing process.
Immediately after the piercing, the area may become red and swollen. During healing, the jewelry must have enough space and should not be too tight or too loose. A piercing should be treated as a wound.
For proper healing, follow these guidelines:
- Avoid touching the piercing as much as possible
- Clean the area twice a day with mild, fragrance-free soap until fully healed
- Gently pat dry with a clean towel or tissue
- Keep the piercing as dry as possible after cleaning
- Do not apply ointments, petroleum jelly, or similar products
- Do not use disinfectants like Sterilon or Betadine (only after full closure if needed)
- Do not cover the piercing with plasters (except if necessary during sports)
- Avoid tight or dirty clothing (especially for body piercings)
- Avoid pools, hot tubs, natural waters, and steam baths during healing
- Never remove the jewelry yourself
- Contact your doctor in case of extreme redness, swelling, bleeding, pus, discoloration, rejection, or pain
We offer free aftercare during the healing process as an extra service.
